Statement
History

Tim Yarger was raised in Michigan and upon completing a degree in Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Michigan; Yarger entered the art business in 1982. After directing galleries in San Francisco, New York and Beverly Hills, Yarger purchased an existing Rodeo Drive gallery in 1997, where he established Timothy Yarger Fine Art (TYFA). Yarger has developed many collections and established a reputation for scholarship and expertise in Modern and contemporary art and has produced semi-annual exhibitions of Western art in Thailand, China, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

The Company

The Gallery provides a beautiful environment to showcase fine art concurrent with numerous services including consulting, collections management and appraisals.

The Collection

The gallery is grounded in the historic artwork of 19th Century painters, the Modern Masters, and pop icons of the 20th Century, alongside established conceptual artists, contemporary painters, printmakers, photographers, and new-media artists.

Exhibition and Publications

Each calendar year, TYFA mounts ten to fifteen major exhibitions and promotes scholarship, broad connoisseurship, and public programming by partnering with art historians, critics, and museum professionals, who contribute to the galleries' events and publications. Having published more than a dozen books and exhibition catalogues on such artists as Joan Miró, Marc Chagall, Ray Turner, Curtis Phillips, and Pierre Marie Brisson, TYFA is dedicated to advancing the careers of their artists while contributing to contemporary art scholarship.

International Activities

Timothy Yarger began mounting exhibitions internationally in 1995 when he produced Thailand’s first Picasso exhibition. A few years later, Yarger established an additional gallery location in Bangkok, producing semiannual exhibitions on preeminent 20th Century artists. These exhibitions have included Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Joan Miró, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, and Roy Lichtenstein as well as group exhibitions of established contemporary artists.

TYFA participates in international art fairs and provide exhibitions for other galleries in the United States and abroad.
